I inadvertantly left Lindsay off of the initial list. I guess I have a good excuse for
this error because his activities in the Senate could confuse anyone. He is toatlly unpredictable. On some issues
he will appear the strongest true conservative that one can immagine and then in his next breath sound like Ted
Kennedy reincarnate. I have intentionally shown him with John McCain for a very good reason--Graham and
McCain are joined at the hip. It is a rare occasion for these two to be on opposite sides of and issue and you
should never stand between either of them and a camera as it could prove fatal.
He has taken many controversial left wing positions on a host of issues that were
antithetical to conservative principles. He was on the wrong side of immigration reform, the Sotomayor Supreme
Court nomination, and now has trashed Glenn Beck for no good reason. These are only a few representative examples
among many--he is a walking disaster for conservatives and is very dangerouse for the cause because he is so slick.
The most critical power that Graham brings into the mix is his feeling that in general the President should be able
to get his Cupreme Court appoints comfirmed barring some real disaster. He seems to misunderstand the Constitution.
The President indeed does have the power to nominate, but it is his job as a Senator to evaluate and vote to
confirm or not to confirm. With his philosophy, he essentially gives the President the title of dictator and merely
uses the Senate hearings as a platform for political theatre.
On Fox News Sunday when asked about Glenn Beck the
RINO said "“Glenn Beck is not aligned with any party as far as I can tell. He’s aligned with
cynicism, and there’s always been a market for cynicism.”
I followed up on the
statement with Grahams office and asked if he had just been informed by the media sound bites regarding Beck
or if he had watched the show. I was told that he had not and does not watch the show. When asked
how he could make such statements without having any significant information they only replied that it was
his opinion and that he thought he was cynical. So he as a very strong uninformed opinion. I
requested 3 factual inaccuracies that Graham could provied regarding Beck. They had none.
Listen to the Glenn Beck radio show response below:
I often wonder why the media
tends to trott out Graham on all the talk shows and present him as a token
conservative.
What conservatives
understand now is that the Graham-McCain brand of dilutional conservatism (neo-liberalism) has led us down a
disasterous path. To attempt to broaden the party with the big tent where anything goes in the name of
compromise results in bad policy and bad results at the polls because we become luke warm. Jesus taught
that he would want us to be either hot or cold, not luke warm. He said that if we became luke warm then
he would "spew us out of his mouth". In other words, take a principled stand and do what you know to be
right. No one drinks luke warm coffee, do they?
At least Olympia Snowe and
Susan Collins are "honest liberals". Graham is potentially a bigger threat because he is so
unpredicatble. Therefore, I have ranked him as my number one target in the next election.
Please support any conservative opponent in the next primary.
Olympia Snowe (R-ME)
I simplify my thoughts of Olympia Snow by
referring to her as Ruth Bader Ginsberg with thicker lips. This is no unborn child that she loves and no tax
that she doesn't like. Along with Collins (see below) prevented drilling for oil in the Arctic Wildlife Refuge.
She is also one of the gang of 14 in the Senate that has stopped most conservative issues in the Senate. It is
essential that she be unseated even if we have to elect a conservative Democrat for a cycle in my
opinion.
Susan Collins (R-ME)
Susan is faithfully in line with Snowe for the camera shots. As part of
the gang of 14 she pretty much holds the conservative hostage in the Senate even when we had the slim majority.
Very left wing when it comes to social and environmental issues. She in the main reason we are not drilling for oil
in the Artic Wildlife Refuge today. She and Snowe defected and voted against the bill. If they had voted for it it
would have passed. Think about her every time you fillup your tank and every time you see Hugo Chavez (CITGO owner)
bashes the United States.
Lamar Alexander (R-TN)
Quite the pair, huh?
Judd Gregg (R-NH)
He is fiscally conservative in most instances and did give a good body blow when he
rejected his Cabinet post. He is liberal on many social issues though. We now only need to
support to replace him with a solid conservative because he is not planning to run for re-election when his
term ends.
Richard Lugar (R-IN)
Self-proclaimed foreign
policy expert but with his many years in the Sentate still seems to have learned nothing about effective
foreign policy. His brand of foreign policy is best summed up by Kum Bay Yah. A very liberal
social issue politician. Lugar is very elitist and pays little attention to opinnions of constituents
as he know what is best for them. I am not sure what mad him think that he could ever have had a chance
to run for President since he has the personality of a crow bar. He make Harry Reid sound like a
dynamic speaker.
George Voinovich (R-OH)
Oh the company you keep, George!
George is for all practical purposes a cross-dressed
version of Olympia Snowe or Susan Collins! The main difference between Voinovich and these two liverals is
that they are bigger headline-seekers. George will take most of the same positions as Snow and Collins
on key issues but is more under the radar. He must go as he is a big danger to the conservative agenda. I am
amazed that he has been able to fool the people of Ohio particularly after serving as their
Governor.
John McCain (R-AZ)
Get a room already!
If you do not
know by now why John McCain is on this list, then I don't think I can help you. He has yet to
understand that most of the country is conservative, even the independents. His brand of new
conservatism (neo-liberalism crap) was soundly rejected. Take a hint John--quit!
Neither camp wants
you!
Orrin Hatch (R-UT)
Strange Bedfellows Orin: Reid, Kennedy, Baucus
Orin hatch is a creature of both the left and the right. On one issue he holds to the
conservative values as anyone in the Senate but on the next issue down the pike he is as liberal as they
come. He combined with Kennedy on the costly CHIPS program that expanded healthcare for
children. On the surface one at first thinks "well how could healthcare for children be so bad?"
Well this program establishes another entitlement that covers childrens healthcare for families who make up
to $75,000 per year. Hardworking people are now haveing to pay for this. The truly indigent
are qualified already under Medicaid and other programs. Now we just expanded this program to
include people who simply choose not to sign up for existing programs or otherwise choose to spend their
money on other things like smoking, drinking, bass boat, flat screen TV!!! Do you get my
drift. He was a close personal friend of Ted Kennedy. I would not tell someone
who they could be friends with, but I can judge someone by the company that they keep. Ted Kennedy made
no bones about his ideology and it is difficult for me to think that I could have ever considered him as a
friend. His life of self-inflicted disasters is not one that I would ever want associated with my
name. The actions of Senator hatch most recently included voting for the confirmation of Cas Sustein
who has argued that animals should have the right to file suit against persons in court. Is
this really an Senator that has judgement consistent with conservative
values?
"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude
better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel
nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon
you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”—Samuel
Adams
